Sometimes an idea just hits you, and sometimes when you need it most. With this in mind the Ultimate Costa Rica Vacation Givaway was born. The goal? To keep one of our countries only dog shelters open for good, and the 170+ residents safe.
We are giving away $250,000 worth of Costa Rica Travel to 200 lucky couples. To enter the Giveaway simply visit Dogland Shelter and donate $1 to the shelter. Every dollar you donate counts as an entry into our vacation giveaway.
Every time we reach 5000 entries we will pick a name at random and you could win a trip for 2 to beautiful Costa Rica.
This is a dramatic attempt to keep this remarkable shelter for dogs open in Costa Rica. We saw this as a possible solution not just in the short term but in the long term. If this works it will see the shelter operational for many years to come.
Dogland currently houses 170 dogs from the streets. Offering adoptions, spay and neutering clinics, emergency care, dog boarding, all made possible with help from Dog Sponsors and private donations.
Even with all the love and support of sponsors and private donations, the bills of the shelter are overshadowing them. This is our chance to turn things around for them, to make a difference, and for 200 lucky couples to travel to Costa Rica and see for themselves what a Dog City looks like.
$1 dollar means very little to most people. Less than a trip to Starbucks, better odds than your local lottery, but combined those dollars can add up. The faster we get the word out, the faster we can save Dogland Shelter for today and tomorrow.
How Do I Enter?

- Then visit us on Facebook and post “I ENTERED’ on our Ultimate Vacation Raffle Wall. This helps keep a visual public record of entries.
The Raffle – Just the Facts
- To enter you must be 18 years or older
- Employees or family of Dogland or CR Referrals are not eligible to enter the raffle
- Each dollar donated to Dogland Shelter counts as 1 raffle entry.
- Odds of winning on 1 raffle entry are 1 in 5000
- Each Raffle drawing will be conducted every time we reach 5000 entries
- The more you donate, the more raffle entries it counts for and the better your odds are of winning. A $10 donation brings your odds to 10 in 5000 and so on.

- 200 vacations for 2 are being raffled with a combined value of over $250,000
- 8 days 7 nights accommodations (3 star hotels)
- 4×4 Rental with Basic Insurance and GPS
- Choice of 4 tours
- Vacations available in all 4 corners of the country and everywhere in between
- All Vacation Taxes with exception of $26 departure tax paid at the airport
- Vacations are valued at $1200 – $1500 each depending on time of year traveling
